Truly unbelievable. What happened to fiscally responsible candidate obama?

Obama on Pace to Borrow $6.2T in One Term

Quote:
President Barack Obama has been increasing the national debt during his presidency by an average of $4.24 billion per day ($4,240,506,004.34) putting him on a pace to increase the national debt by $6.2 trillion ($6,195,379,272,340.74) by the end of his term on Jan. 20, 2013, according to the debt figures published by the U.S. Treasury.

That $6.2 trillion is more debt than was accumulated by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Bill Clinton combined.
Now, lets recall what obama said about adding so much to the debt.

Senator Obama calls Bush "unpatriotic" for adding trillions to debt www.RightFace.us - YouTube

These WORDS of obama will be front and center this year. What a great ad.

NO way. He doesn't deserve more power, in fact, he's abused the power he has, I wouldn't give him more.

The terrible economy Obama inherited and the simple fact that more Americans reach the age of 65 every day is what has pushed the nation's debt up. I'm still waiting for Republicans to put up credible plans that revive the economy and slow the growth of health care spending, until that happens I can't take Republicans concerns about debt seriously.

If Obama needs handcuffing then Bush needs the death penalty.

Sanrene, even if Ron Paul was elected, what do you think his one term debt burn rate would be? How many trillions? Even if he slashed the military and the Fed govt to his heart's content, it would still be at least a few trillion. But I'm reality-based...

Ahhh yes, the old standby of the extreme left who can't bear the thought that their guy has somehow become even worse than his predecessor - blame everything ON the predecessor.

If only it worked that way....

You never would. This is OBAMA's debt, he owns it. $1 Trillion stimulus, $1+ trillion obamacare. He just can't stop spending.

Why aren't you furious?

So people getting older is pushing up the debt?

That's a new one. Obama's blame game and excuses won't work, sorry.

Just imagine the ad - candidate obama railing against Bush's $4 trillion increase over 8 years compared to obama's $6 trillion increased in just 4.
