Obama talks, talks, talks a good game on his interest in creating jobs and his recent talk about "in sourcing" jobs, but we all know that's a bunch of BS and politics is his overriding concern, which is pretty outrageous considering his rhetoric.

Keystone XL Pipeline And Jobs — Put Up Or Shut Up

Quote:
"We can put 20,000 Americans to work right away and up to 250,000 over the life of the project," Donohue said. "Labor unions and the business community alike are urging President Obama to act in the best interests of our national security and our workers, and approve the pipeline."
Amazing, Labor unions support this project, but they are so far up obama's derriere, they hold back their criticism for fear of damaging him.

Quote:
"If this episode tells us anything," McConnell has said, "it's that the president is clearly more concerned about getting himself re-elected than getting somebody in Nebraska or Kansas or South Dakota or Missouri a job today."
Well, there was no doubt about that.

The number of things Obama wants to defer decision upon until "after the election" is reason enough he should be fired. He puts his self-interest above that of this country.

Chamber of Commerce to Obama:
Quote:
– While President Barack Obama has been touting the importance of “insourcing” jobs into the United States (as opposed to outsourcing jobs overseas), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce reminded America on Thursday that Obama recently rejected one of the most prominent and beneficial insourced opportunities: the Keystone XL pipeline, which would carry tar sand oil through middle America to refineries on the Gulf Coast and create at least 20,000 jobs

Well, he certainly can't "put up", so he should shut up.

Obama added jobs to the economy? Really? Who needs to get a clue? It is called seasonal hiring for Christmas!

Santa Clause added 200 thousand jobs - not Obama.

Yes, the weakest recovery on record continues. And the president runs away from any hint of real leadership, such as the fundamental task reform recommended by his own Simpson Bowles Commission. Instead, he prefers dispensing special breaks and privileges for cronies and politically favored industries--exactly what his "insourcing" agenda is about.

The amazing thing is that the resilient American economy can grow at all, with the anti-jobs agenda of this president and his NLRB, his EPA, and Dodd-Frank dead weight.

I don't hate Obama--I just love prosperity, and wish the president did, too.

I'm just wondering if you have ANY idea WHY the UE rate went down?

Do you understand how many people have LEFT the workforce, have fallen off the rolls?

If not for the MILLIONS who are not being counted by the BLS, the UE rate would be around 15%.

Quote:
The decrease in the jobless rate reflected a 278,000 gain in employment at the same time 315,000 Americans left the labor force.

“You’d like to see the unemployment rate coming down when people are coming into the job market, not disappearing,” James Glassman
Now, THIS thread is about obama's POLITICAL decision that puts his re-election at a priority over creating JOBS.
