Another example of Conservatives co-opting Dr. King now that he's safe in his grave. But had he lived, he wouldn't be anywhere near as popular with Conservatives. But in death, Conservatives find him quite useful.

This, too must be reason that Beck is so hated by the left. Oh yeahhh, MLK's niece that marched as a child is very friendly with Beck. She makes it clear in this little, three part series of videos that she is G. Beck and the Tea Party's "kindred spirit."
Beck has some historic photos here that I had never seen and it's a very good assumption that the general public has not seen some of them, also.
Today is the perfect day to present another Dr. King of that famous, sweet family and stories as well as photos that are fitting and perfect for honoring this worthy holiday.
Those of you trying to imply that Martin Luther King, Jr. was a conservative are extremely wrong. King had leftist leanings, and he was killed while he was organizing the poor people's campaign, which was the kind of movement that would make Beck and the modern-day Republicans ilk gnash, wail, and cry about socialism and class warfare.
If you think that Alveda King is legit, that's your choice, but don't distort the legacy of MLK because out of ignorance. If you take him seriously then you should think more carefully about how his actions correlate to what's going on in our society today. The way we treat the poor and the way we cannot honestly deal with racism are issues to confront as King tried to confront them, rather than glossing over in favor of meaningless platitudes and empty hero worship just to make ourselves feel good.
