Sen. "Dingy Harry" Reid along with the slimey Chuck Schumer, in yet another attempt to never pass a budget through the US Senate on their watch, declare the new debt ceiling the same as the 2013 fiscal year budget.

Actually passing a budget would limit spending. No democrat in the Senate is going to pass a budget.

Exactly the point. Just because there is a debt ceiling doesn't mean the federal government should use that as their spending goal!

Default Harry Reid says that the Senate won't put out a budget this year either.

Look at the link to see what Reid considers to be the Senate's budget for this year. I guess it will be over 1300 days before the Senate proposes a budget since he will probably not be in control about that long from now.

I wonder if Reid really thinks we of the voter class are really stupid enough to let him get away with this any longer.

What's the purpose of not having a budget?

The dems have already proposed budgets that would include huge cuts to medicare, medicaid etc,.. but would require the richest of the rich pitch in their fair share, which the GOP shot down. The GOP absolutely refuses to cut a penny of "their" spending. It's pointless for the dems to waste time where the GOP will just refuse anything the democrats propose.

I am kind of thinking we may see the Dems proposing we adopt the Simpson-Bowles plan sometime this Fall, may even start with the Presidents Budget Proposal coming up shortly. A good bit of it was in last year's Obama Budget.
