The GOP is the party of the racists in the USA. The party that believes most in big and imposing government. To register to vote one must provide confirming legal identification. Signatures are required when you vote. Unless you're suggesting the Republican judges in these racist-supporting states are corrupt, your argument has no basis.

I guess you're right. Since we cannot produce bona fide video evidence and signed affadavits that vote fraud has taken place, it means it is a total myth and doesn't happen.
If one is claiming that there is wide-spread voter fraud then the onus is on those claiming voter fraud to prove it. Those who have looked into this have concluded that what is at stake is restricting millions of legitimate voters in order to stop an imperceptible number of phantom voter frauds.

The fact that Mr. Holder is not objecting to only citizens voting undercuts the claim that he is.
OP, can you explain to me why the sudden change of heart? Why is it so important for us to have photo I.D. right now?
Because of all the fraud that seems to be coming with elections now? To verify that you are who you say you are? To verify that you are eligible to vote in a certain district?
Nothing to do with minorities or the disenfranchised flavor of the week.
Even if it were "the will of the people," the people do not have the right to stop legitimate voters from voting or to place stumbling blocks in the way of voters trying to vote. That's why we amended the constitution to bar poll taxes.

And how many such democrats flee to the republican party in the 1960s? You see, the problem is that you assume a democrat versus republican stance based on what they stand for today, instead of a conservative versus progressive stance that has been true regardless of the times.
