>Cuomo and Malloy better STOP raising taxes or NJ will sweep the tri-state battle.<

yes it is probably aimed at the higher income tax brackets. NJ already has lower income taxes under 100K income. A family of 4 making ~100k has a net rate of about 2.5% after all of NJ's odd credits and deductions. 10% would be $250 or ~$21 a month. NJ already got rid of the $1MM rate. Shrug. No real news here tho. 500K would get ~24K or $2000 a month.

NJ is a proerty tax state. A crummy 1000 SF 3 BR 1 bath will often be about $5500 a year. A Mcmansion 16-20K a year. A real mansion 30K++ a year.

I would rather they attack property taxes. This would require many politcally difficult things like disallow pension double dipping, disallow multiple salaries for various public officials, force all new public employees into 401Ks, at least modify the Abbots ruling (good luck)...

Another Christie ( Christie Todd Whitman) did just that an across the board tax cut and history shows that didn't work well at all for NJ.

If it's too good to be true, it probably is. Who is the tax cut for?

He mentioned, as I have seen in studies and at our own corps where I work, 2/3 of corps moving do not go overseas. They pick a NEW state to relo to.

We need more Christies.
Corps? Also, you mean to which to relo.

^This.

And fully sponsored by people with short term memory.

But...but...that's not fair! Why should the evil rich get the same tax cut everyone else gets! The rich aren't paying their fair share! Rabblerabblerabble!

That way people will have time to adjust to actually doing things without government training wheels.

If you need 25 years to adjust you probably took the "short bus" to school each day.

Florida is tax free + low salary state, yet not too many businesses are coming here, so I am not too sure about your theory about low taxes bringing jobs.
