Stop deflecting and ignoring the issue.

This isn't a one time thing. This has happened numerous times, and is no different than photoshopping to make women look perfect. It makes things unrealistic and gives the wrong message.
There is a billion dollar tanning industry out there that tells me darker skin is better.

As long as you do things like this and ignore the racism among yourselves, you are going to be considered racists. Silence gives consent and if you are going to turn a blind eye to the racism, you may as well put a sheet over your head and burn some crosses.
Wow. Basically your point is, "I disagree with you res ipso facto you are a racist."

Rauxism! Catch the fever!

Why can't the issue be an artistic one? When did Beyonce or the Magazine ever say that 'lighter skin is better?' Since when is it a universal law that you have to go all natural all the time - esp. if you are an artist.

The article as well as others on here are blowing this way out of porportion precisely becuase it is they who constantly have race on their mind and see racial issues everywhere - hence one of the people in the article has a Blog called Race Consciousness - go figure. He attributes all kinds of specultive motive and intent - your impressions are your own. Take a look at yourself.

It is all too funny - really
