The one think I liked about living in the "country" was the local dump rats were an unlimited supply of self setting targets. Some also served as self serving cat food for our pride of semi feral felines.

Councilwoman from my old neighborhood cooked this one up. You can still kill all the rats you want.

But the law is still inane.

I like rats. They are better creatures than humans.

Reminds me of a story that my boss told me.

We can't put out rat and mouse poison at our cell sites, because the beach mice are "protected". Instead, a few years back, a group of environmentalists spent 10's of thousands of dollars catching mice in many trouble areas. Then they released them on the beach. Much to the enjoyment of the Osprey that suddenly covered the beach.

My boss told me it loooked like an air raid during WWII, they let the mice out, and they were dive bombed immediately.

How dare you insult rats like that, by equating them with politicians!

Not as cuddly as guinea pigs, but rats are nice. My daughter and son-in-law used to have a pet white rat. Sweetest little thing. When I would come to visit, she would sit on my shoulder and I'd feed her Cheerios.

How about the Obamas adopting a "White House rat"?
