Argumentum ad populum has always been one of my favorite logical fallacies.

So essentially since so many people believe in Santa, he must be real? Please remember that when invoking The People you should take into account that well more than half fall well under the average IQ.

As art lover and fan, I know that many artists, were/are not only politically wrong, but also very unpleasant individuals. You wouldn't want them as next door neighbors. Many fight for noble causes, yet are very cruel to their close family and friends and make horrible parents (as told by their children).
That being said, I accept their faults as I am (selfishly) interested only in their art.
Examples:
I still listen with pleasure to Mamas and Papas songs, even they were a modern reincarnation of Sodom and Gomorra.
Same with Dylan, Jane Fonda, Ryan O'Neal, Jim Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Sean Penn, or Picasso, to name a few.

For the most part I'm not concerned about an entertainer's beliefs unless those beliefs are odious, or they try to shove them down my throat.

I can't watch Woody Allen any more - pedophile verging on incest

Mel Gibson - abusive racist

Sean Penn - Christ complex with no sense of humour

Charlie Sheen - drugged up wife/girlfriend beater

Rosie O'Donnel - always right on everything, everyone else is evil

It's not what their political, religious, or moral beliefs are, it's how they conduct themselves. I've listened to celebrities that have advanced ideas that really made me reconsider my views. I've also endured others vomiting the most inane drivel.

Shut up and sing!
You won't EVER FORGET a live performance of his. After your ears are done ringing a day later and you just show the best stage show you've ever seen in your life, you WILL remember! Flaming arrows, sandbags and all!

Why do people find loudmouth's to be so admirable? As if Nugent is the only guy on Earth that is proud of being an American.

Lots of people aren't afraid to speak their mind. Why is that such a big ass deal?

Watching and voting on American Idol is lame.

Being an adult and buying her albums is super lame.

Being an adult and buying a Kelly Clarkson concert ticket is unbelievably lame.

As for your last sentence.....

Get some help!

What I expected you to take from my comment is that your statement was a subjective, not an objective one. Millions of people do not find her lame, but you do. That is your opinion. I find Miles Davis to be lame, does that make him lame? No, I know many people who absolutely adore his music.

As for my last sentence, it was to let you know I'm on to your little schtick...I will counter your afrocentrism with my eurocentrism.

"Help, I need somebody, help, not just anybody, heeeeelllllllppppp me!"

Incorrect my friend. I was pointing out to Mr. Detroit that his statement was subjective, not a true statement. It's funny how you didn't point out that fallacy. Sorry that you mistook my intent, have a great 2012. Ron Paul 2012!

Actors politics is not orginal and should not be taken seriously.

Hollywood practices Groupthink!!! That is why all actors sound like clones when discussing politics.

They really don't make any good movies anymore anyway.
