Oil and gas production on federal land across the American West is at an all-time high.

Matt Garrington, Denver-based deputy director of the Checks and Balances Project, said the new onshore leasing numbers “show how responsible drilling, clean air and water protections, and increased revenues can all go hand-in-hand.” He added that onshore oil and gas production is booming on public lands.

“Leasing, permitting, and drilling continue to rise under the Obama administration,” Garrington said. “But facts don’t matter to the oil and gas industry, who whine for more of our public lands. The truth is that industry is sitting pretty on tens of millions of acres open for development and billions in profits.”
...
Garrington, however, counters that the oil and gas industry continues to call for more BLM lease sales despite failing to develop two thirds of the public lands currently leased for drilling. “America’s public lands are open for business when it comes to energy development,” he said, pointing to the fact that 4,380,275 acres of BLM land are leased for drilling in Colorado but only 1,467,839 (or about 33.5 percent) are currently in production.

No, it is clearly aimed at the mindless who have paid no attention to the actions of his administration. The current production levels of domestic oil have nothing to do with this administration. The exploration and drilling permits were issued before he took office.

And what is your spin on the "actions of this Administration?"

This is the oil production from the Gulf of Mexico for the last 10 years:
2000: 1,430,000
2001: 1,536,000
2002: 1,556,000
2003: 1,559,000
2004: 1,453,000
2005: 1,282,000
2006: 1,299,000
2007: 1,277,000
2008: 1,152,000
2009: 1,559,000
2010: 1,640,000

It's now the highest it's been. Overall oil production is also at a high.

What's particularly contradictory from the anti-Obama crowd is that while they proclaim free enterprise they fault Obama for not producing more oil, which is not a government function.

What a tool!
Excuse me but that's a two ton dog of indeterminate breed that we'll call a pitbull for the sake of sensationalism.

One thing that is crystal clear. If the Obama administration solved all of the big problems in the country. Problems that were decades in the making the opponents of the president would stll be spouting their stupidity. The horrendous mistakes made by the previous administration of GW idiot might take 50 years or more to correct. They might never be corrected. The idea that Obama could fix these things in a couple of years is just so stupid it's beyond belief. The country has lost freedom to the point I don't even consider the USA to qualify as a free country any more. The financial industry has destroyed the economy and stolen trillions from the people without paying any kind of penalty at all and are left in the position to do it again whenever there is some more loot to be stolen. The life savings of tens of millios of middle class people have been wiped out while the wealthy just get richer and richer. Bushes tax cuts have bankrupted the nation and yet the wealthy are still maintaining that these cuts trickle down and create jobs. It seems to me that at the end of GW idiots time the economy was collapsing really rapidly. The country is falling apart. Cities are falling to rack and ruin. States and cities are broke, unemployment is very bad and what do these masters of the universe who own the GOP do? They offshore all their production to third world countries. They are traitors of the worst sort. They will not be happy until they drive America down to the same level they enjoy in Mexico and China. THEY LOVE BEING AMERICAN SO THEY CAN ENJOY THE BENEFITS OF THE USA BUT THEY HATE THE FACT THAT BEING A CITIZEN ALSO MEANS THAT SOMETIMES IT REQUIRES A PERSONAL SACRIFICE FOR THE SAKE OF THE COUNTRY. They will not sacrifice anything and will fight against any attempt to solve the great problems of the country because it just might mean they will make a million or two less every year. GREED to the uttermost degree and it will destroy the country until the people wake up and take power back to whom it belongs. The people.

I thought it was more polite calling it a pitbull than Michelle. YMMV

Please tell me how this time-machine thing works?
