Threatening cutting off political donations... if they don't vote what Hollywood wants... as people protest against SOPA and PIPA... now we know who the democrats really represent... special interest...

EXCLUSIVE: Chris Dodd Warns Of Hollywood Backlash Against Obama Over Anti-piracy Bill | Fox News

"You can complain and say, well, actors make a lot of money and they don't have to worry about this," said Dodd. "You tell that to that camera guy, you tell that to that makeup artist, you tell that to that truck driver out there who made, makes a living because they work in this industry."

Funny... they rather cut the salaries of camera guy, makeup artist, and truck driver than the salary of the multi-million dollar actor... I don't know any sector of business that has such significant salary differences between the actors and camera crew... funny how Hollywood has liberal tendencies...

SOPA was conceived and introduced by Lamar Smith, a republican from Texas.

We should think about treating the Hollywood that pushed for SOPA/PIPA the same way we treat the politicians who drafted it.

Actor salaries should be slashed in relation to falling box office numbers. It's insane that actors are pulling in multi-million dollar salaries while the industry constantly uses the little guys in Hollywood as the sad faces you're hurting by pirating movies or skipping the theater experience. Besides, the concept of the movie star is dead. The biggest 'stars' in the world no longer bring reliable box office business. People are now going to the theater for big blockbusters and smaller niche films, regardless if George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Harrison Ford or Johnny Depp are in them. I could list lots of failed movies from the past few years that leaned on the strength of it's star power to drive business and failed miserably.

It's obvious that Hollywood isn't part of the real world. They operate in a vacuum, separated from the reality of the world outside of Tinseltown. The best ideas they can come up with are pushing 3D down our throats combined with remakes of older movies and adaptations of comic books and 80's TV shows. Are you excited for the 21 Jump Street movie coming out this year? What about the miserable-looking modern Three Stooges remake?

Hollywood can make movies on the cheap, only they've grown too large and arrogant to do so. The horror film Insidious had a budget of just $1 million. Skyline achieved a big-budget look for a modest $10m. They're too used to the glory days when there were fewer entertainment options, but the rise of the Internet, the popularity of video games and affordable home theaters have taken away the movie theater's edge and appeal. Adapt or die Hollywood. Start making better movies and overhaul your business model and we'll start coming back. Keep cranking out shlock and we'll stay at home or just ignore it.

And PIPA was introduced by Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) six months before SOPA. These dangerous bills have bipartisan support.

Is it stupidity or corruption? That's what I can't figure out.

In Dodd's case it is probably corruption. I don't know much about Lamar Smith.

Those are union folks he speaks of. Unions run the democrat party. Has been that way for years. Look what happens to those in Hollywood who don't bow down to the union.

Chris Dodd just doesn't want to admit that banks run this country since he profited financially while writing the laws. The man belongs in and orange suit in Club-Fed.
