In other words, no reasoning at all, pure politics.
The reasoning is that there's only one way to go, and that's up, when you're at rock bottom. If I earn a penny today, and two pennies tomorrow, i'm 200% richer than I was the day before. But at the end of the day, it's still just three cents.

That's where we are as a nation. We were not at rock bottom during the recession of 2001.

Don't you just love how some people manipulate facts? There needs to be a new modernized term for "useful idiot".

Denial at its best. We're here today because of turn of events since 2001. The economy NEVER recovered, NEVER was in good shape. Except for those who might be taking a break from having their head stuck in the sand.

We are here today because of the dramatically inflated lifestyles we have lived over the last 40 years. This crash was decades in the making. Blaming it on any one administration or politician is foolish, at best.

I agree. The problem is the truly better lifestyles have only been enjoyed by the upper 10-20%, while the middle 50% were lulled into thinking they were living better, all the while they were actually paying for the lower 20-30% truly inflated lifestyles, culminating in bad loans and bail outs.

This spread the wealth thing is all about perception. If the top 5% can convince the lower 95% that their life is better, then wealth can be spread while the top 5% scrape the cream. It's a win-win, and they couldn't give a snarf about the next generation.

The US government and FED has built it's power on the biggest pyramid scheme in history. Like any ponzi scheme, the entire house of cards falls down when there aren't enough of the poor at the bottom. That's why both parties never secured the borders, and now they're running out of suckers because illegals are leaving in droves.

lets see his promise!! to lower unemployment to under 8%, he was given 1.5trillion dollars to work with 3 years later unemployment, if you count EVERYONE even the ones that have given up looking for a job but will take one if the opportunity comes then unemployment is over 15% job killer, job destroyer!! it is a proper name for Obama! the job killer fits him the best!

There is no reason.

The President said tonight that in teh 6 months prior to his taking office 4 million jobs were lost, and 4 million more in the first six months of his administration before Congress adopted some of his programs. That's 8 million jobs lost as the result of Bush administration and GOP policies. I'm still waiting to hear about credible job creation programs offered by the GOP. The silence is deafening.

Because that is what he is, and how he started his administration's work.

He and they shot their mouths off every few days and weeks, speaking chaotically and erratically. This was not by mistake but to keep us all confused and confuddled.

Business plans months and weeks in advance. That is how it must be done and so he and his kept everyone guessing and worried. Without concrete, functional leadership then business could not plan Anything! Therefor this was a job-killer in a big way because no planning, no hiring nor preparations for future hiring.

What?

He's the President of the United States. Not the Chairman of the Board of every business enterprise in the nation. Listen to Mitt Romney .. the government doesn't creat jobs. Private industry does.
