I have lived over 15 years away from US, but never heard a single one of the above. Couple of things you will hear:
- Americans are ignorant about what goes on outside of US
- Americans are friendly, but don't make friends easily
- American health care system sucks
I'm pretty sure we have many more foreign born in our health care system, a very large number on Medicaid, than other nations have. Foreigners might like to put us down but more foreigners are living here than in any other country.

Unlike most other countries the US is an immigrant country, without foreign-born people there wouldn't be any US.
Plus, most gulf countries have much higher percentages of foreign-born residents, in many cases more foreigners than natives.

They probably don't have nearly the number of foreigners in their health care systems, especially their Medicaid programs.
The USA has more than enough people now - you can't compare 300 years ago with now -- we would go on perfectly fine if no one else came in. There is no more empty land to homestead like at one time.
But still -- my point is -- who cares what foreigners say when it's their actions that prove it. Foreigners might put down Americans, our materialism and what not- but more people have come here, more people want to come here than to any other country in the world. They come because they too want the materialistic life, our money, our high standard of living.

They are not putting us (the people) down, they just think the US health care system sucks. That is fairly commonly held belief foreigners have of US.
A lot of folks have said, defiantly, "I don't give a hoot what others think." But I think you really do. Why is it important? Because as much as some would still like to live in 19th century isolationism it is impossible because our millionaire industrialist have joined us at the hip with the rest of the world. The globalization our leaders both political and industrial (the latter being the most powerful) have put us in prohibits "not giving a hoot." The would...they need us and we need them. form some, sad but true.
Still -- they can't think it's too bad when you look at the number of foreign born using our health care system particularly Medicaid.
The number of foreigners in the system doesn't have anything to do with it.
The fact that our system is easily abused doesn't make it look any better. It makes it look worse, if anything.
