Child molestation is deviant behavior that hurts a child, period. The love of two people for each other is a positive. Equating the acceptance of child molestation with the acceptance of homosexuality is just plain moronic!

It's useful to remember that here in the United States same-sex marriage has been working since 2004 (Massachusetts), 2008 (Connecticut), 2009 (Iowa and Vermont), 2010 (New Hampshire and the District of Columbia) and 2011 (New York).

And it'll keep working after the next few states enact same-sex marriage laws, and the next few after them, and so forth.

A very short time ago in the whole scheme of things, it was very acceptable to have sex with children. Girls were basically sold off to men as soon as they were able to bear children. It was generally practiced by conservative adherents of Judeo-Christian religions. Thank God more liberal, rational, secular heads prevailed and put a stop to that practice.

If anything, child molestation will come back into acceptance if we go back around to accepting the perverted ways of the fundamentally religious.

Q: What does expanding the rights of consenting adults have to do with victimizing children?

A: Absolutely nothing at all.

California -- as soon as the 9th Circuit rejects the appellants' en banc petition and the USSC declines to review the case (sometime late this year)

Washington -- when voters ratify the already-passed same-sex marriage law in November

Maine -- when voters approve a same-sex marriage referendum on the November ballot

Maryland, maybe -- when voters decide on the already-passed same-sex marriage law in November (I give it about 60% chance of being upheld)

New Jersey, maybe -- when the legislature overrides Governor Christie's veto (they have until January 2014, I give it about 50% chance of happening)

Rhode Island, in the near future -- maybe this year, but probably not.
Rhode Island House Judiciary Panel Hearing Three Bills on Gay Marriage Today| News | Towleroad

Colorado, in the not-too-distant future -- may well pass a civil unions bill soon
Colorado civil unions bill gains more Republican support, will clear final committee - The Denver Post
And as Vermont, New Hampshire, California, Washington and New Jersey have shown, legislatures that pass civil union/domestic partnership bills usuall come back with a same-sex marriage bill in the near future.

Ohio, that's a tall order -- but I like seeing the affirmative question being put on the ballot (looks like it will make it to this year's ballot)

Well, on the other hand, comparing and trying to equate such disparate issues aptly demonstrates the limited levels of comprehension and cognition you are dealing with.

Perhaps.

Or perhaps they're just cynical enough to think that the dishonest comparison of gays and those who prey on children is a useful ploy.

Whether or not it still is useful, it once was, certainly.

But, yeah, maybe they're just very ignorant -- that's certainly always a possibility!

Well, sticks and stones ...

You've run out of intelligent arguments so you have resorted to insults and name-calling.

You got cooties! You're PRE-verts! I say you are Ab-Normal!!! Na na na ...

Sheesh

Listen Dude, every year the mayor of my city and the entire city counsel hold a ceremony celebrating LGBT rights and they raise the "Rainbow Flag" over City Hall. Local politicians court the LGBT vote. Local businesses go after the gay buck. Every university in this town - Drexel, Temple, Univ. of Penn, Swarthmore, Bryn Mawr, Univ. of the Arts, etc. has LGBT students centers.

Nothing you can say or do is going to turn back the clock to the time of prejudice and discrimination.

Quite frankly, your views are abnormal. You sound like some embittered segregationist still railing against civil rights laws. Wake up and smell the Mochachino Lattes, Dude ... the year is 2012 not 1912.

Are you kidding me? I'm a minority with my views? Then how did Prop 8 get passed in the liberal heaven of California?

Yes 7,001,084 52.24% No 6,401,482 47.76%

with 79% turnout no less!

You live in a pro-gay fantasy land.
