If gay people get married, what will happen to heterosexual marriages? Absolutely nothing. Gay marriage will be legalized in our lifetime, since it is primarily the old guard that clings to their fear and hatred of homosexuals.

According to Newt Gingrich marriage is between one man and one woman and another woman. If the GOP uses Romney's traditions then polygamy would be rampant. Why not just let two human beings who love each other marry ? It makes perfect sense.
I'm kinda curious as to why there isnt a big push to ban divorce... I mean, it's not exactly traditional to divorce. What better to protect the sanctity of marriage than to make its dissolution illegal?
The irony is, I've linked the poll you just cited to him on more than one occasion, and he always claims it's biased, or wrong, or you can't trust polls, etc. And yet, he has no problem using the exact same poll from 2 years earlier to support his bigotry.

Because that would primarily hurt conservative Christians, and we can't have them being accountable for their sins now can we? Better to demonize less than 5% of the population over an issue most of them will never have to deal with.
