Here's another Obama Administration contract that has changed hands from U.S. to foreign supplied.

ATK loses appeal on $850 million Army contract

Alliant Techsystems Inc. said Tuesday it has lost its appeal of a 10-year, $850 million ammunition contract that the Army gave to Britain's BAE Systems Plc.

ATK said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it was notified that the Army had completed its review of the company's revised proposal for the plant in Radford, Va., and that the contract was staying with BAE.

The company has held the contract since 1995.

Barry choosing foreigners instead of renewing a contract in a "red" state.

President Obama does not sit in on the DoD contracting process. How silly.

And BAE will be running the very same Radford production plant, in the very same red state of Virginia.

The Radford plant is owned by the US government. It has been operated by ATK, and will now be operated by a subsidiary of BAE. This subsidiary is based in the US.

BAE also operates the Holston Ammunition Plant in Tennessee.

Care to explain that? It's already been pointed out twice that the jobs will still be at the Virginia plant. Plus, BAE is a large defense contractor with many American employees, and has been for a long time.

'Barry'? There's this thing called free trade. Companies around the world are allowed to bid on US contracts. As a result, US companies can bid on those defense contracts. That holds true whether it's 'Barry' or Bush.

I guess you'd rather have protectionism and have US companies lose the slew of contracts they have with other governments. Didn't think of that now did you. I guess you were too busy making up nicknames for politicians who get your panties in a bunch.
