Never heard of the guy.

He's entitled to his opinion.

>Does the non-sense ever stop?<

Far from it. Allen West appears to show it is increasing.

The Florida sun screws with a man's brain more than the California sun?

What did liberals do that was so offensive to the Republican party? I'll tell you what they did. Liberals got women the right to vote. Liberals got African-Americans the right to vote. Liberals created Social Security and lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty. Liberals ended segregation. Liberals passed the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act. Liberals created Medicare. Liberals passed the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act. What did conservatives do? They opposed them on every one of those things every one. So when you try to hurl that label at my feet, 'Liberal,' as if it were something to be ashamed of, something dirty, something to run away from, it won't work. Because I will pick up that label and I will wear it as a badge of honor."
-Lawrence O'Donnell Jr.

I can't help but notice that if someone disagrees with the liberal ideology they are quickly dismissed as being some form of "delusional".

I knew that that would come up.

Here's the difference.

We, as Americans are a "people", plural.

The founders realized that each individual had freedoms bestowed upon him/her by God (or nature, for you atheists), not by other men.

In essence, what they were saying was that each individual has rights which cannot be given or taken from men, or government.

I'll use Social Security as an example.

We are forced to pay into the system, therefore enslaving us to a governmental program. The government is basically saying "you "people" are too dumb to prepare for your own future" with absolutely no freedom for the individual.

The reason that socialism, or "power to the people" doesn't work is due to the fact that we are all different, and no such equal outcome could possibly exist.

Anyone who was ever a member of a group, or a board realize that there are a few individuals in any group who lead the group.

Socialism is for the people, not the socialists.

There's a difference between disagreement and "If you don't agree with my politics, get the hell out of America!"
