Unlike all other industrial/western nations in the World - the United States does not mandate any employees getting any paid/unpaid days off from work. So it is up to every company to decide how many days or weeks an employee will get, if any at all.

Most European and other industrial countries give its employee 3 - 6 weeks off + paid holidays, while the U.S. has no minimum law.

Should the United States mandate companies giving paid time off/vacation days for all workers like all other industrial countries?

The government should only rule over it's own employees.

We have enough socialism already in the US.

Yes, and i've said so for a long ass time.

I'm not saying that it should be 6 weeks, but EVERYONE should be able to get at least 2 weeks after a year on the job.

What about PT workers. i'm torn on this. because on the one hand, I've worked at my job for 15 years. It's PT. I would not expect a lot of paid time off. As it is, I get NO paid time off...but I like my job, and I CAN take a day off if I want it or need it.
I would rather have the opportunity to earn some paid time off...maybe so many hours for so many years worked there or something. However, i can't expect our government to mandate it.
