So are you suggesting it as a career path or something?

this is very true. our lenient and porous judicial system makes it disneyland for criminals. it is so bad our president must resort to military hit men to get justice with terrorists.
lawyers and misuse of civil rights laws have caused this.
the heros of my childhood, elliot ness and the untouchables, would all now be in prison and the mobsters they arrested free.

Without writing a book, you said it first line. Our ignorant and stupid lenient judicial system.

Sometimes the rulings that judges make, are not by any stretch of the imagination, the right ruling, but time and time again, they do it over and over and over again.

How does, for example, rape pay? How does driving while intoxicated, pay?

Crime doesn't pay, it costs.

I need to hijack this. What in the world are you talking about?

We imprison 25% of the world's prison population. As a result, our prisons figuratively breed criminals. Ever see The Shawshank Redemption? Andy DuFresne says "I had to come to prison, to become a criminal?"

Our justice system is focused on punishment, not rehabilitation. As a result, we lock people up to rot away, and then release them back unto the world with minimum social skills and job training, and expect them to reintegrate with society?

You people are a bunch of loons if you think our judicial system is lenient or porous in these respects.

Exactly.

Unfortunately, this country has decided that the solution to our crime problem is to toss more and more people in jail for longer and longer periods of time, even for fairly petty "crimes." We manufacture our own problems.
