The incapacity to think ... to employ logic ... to analyze simple situations and recognize circumstances and reach rational conclusions is quite astonishing and frightening.

First, the threat posed by such wholesale violations of privacy by authorities is greater than the alleged threats cited to justify it.

Secondly, the couple made no threat, not even jokingly. The authorities simply misunderstood the slang used, jumped to false conclusions, and instead of correcting their error upon explanation, compounded their ignorance unnecessarily. While doing so, they allowed themselves to remain distracted from their responsibilities to watch for real threats.

How was your trip to America? Oh wow, it was the bomb! BOMB !!!! FREEZE ... DON'T MOVE .... PUT YOUR HANDS ON YOUR HEAD ....

Freaking geniuses, one and all. It's like the school who suspended the 7 year old because he had a GI Joe gun in his pocket ... the little molded plastic thing that's an inch long. Suspended from school by supposed rational adults in charge of educating our children. This is the same type of low grade moron behavior. Game over ... we are now officially too stupid to be allowed to remain breathing and consuming valuable resources.

These two idiots know how sensitive security is today.
If they had come into the USA and had actually caused destruction.... all of you would be screaming for the Presidents head for not learning the lessons of the past and allowing people into America who have made actual threats towards America.
This guy and girl were stupid and probably naive but unfortunately today we cannot take chances........ young recruits are working for terrorists and age does not mean that these morons were not a threat........
Big lesson here........... America is watching so terrorists beware.... this is no longer 2000 when we could travel without fear................ 9/11... 2001 has changed that forever, for all of us.

Substitute "sensitive" with "absurd" and you'll be closer to right....I can't imagine any LE agent being PROUD of the job he did by arresting these two stooges.

America is watching so "terrists" beware? Yeah right, the borders are wide open, the ports are wide open etc etc...the terrorists won on 9/11 because WE live like cattle now due to chiken****s like the posters on here that would rather give their freedoms up so the phony boogieman won't get them.

The laws and pre 9/11 security worked just fine, the Bush regime didn't.

Hey let's just let anyone into America even if they tweet that they are coming to America to at the least act in a anti social manner....... Maybe when this guy and girl throw up on your drive or throw a brick through your window because they are drunk and being *******s.. you will scream.... "who let these hooligans into the country..even though they said they were going to behave badly"

"Phoney Boogiemen" and YOU know which ones are phoney?
The borders should have been sealed years ago, in fact straight after 9/11 instead of going to war in Iraq. Our troops should be all over the borders and every single method should be used to STOP illegals getting into America and intruders who want to hurt America.
The border issue does NOT deflect from other issues like respecting a Country that you visit. America is a prime target and ANY way to stop people coming to America with intent to cause problems should be used to keep them out. I have nothing to hide so i really don't care if the Govt is keeping an eye on me....... Personal freedom to me is being able to go about my life here without being affected by terrorists or even morons.
Today we have a huge terrorist problem and we must be vigilant... if you don't like the Govt. keeping track of individuals....... well teleport yourself back to the 30's and see if you like that ball of string.
The laws and pre 9/11 security worked just fine, the Bush regime didn't.
You are joking right?
9/11 wasn't the only terrorist act in the USA.........
You seem to forget the Oklahoma Bombing in 1995 or the terrible bombing of flight Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie.... now they were pre 9/11 so the security laws before 9/11 didn't work.

Paranoi about the Govt watching our every move doesn't cut it in today's America where we now must have strong surveilance to prevent wholesale death here in the USA.

Why not? They might as well join the rest of the really stupid people already here, and working for the government

I'll worry about my own security, let them worry about theirs....you have a zillion times better chance of being struck by lightning while cashing your trillion dollar lottery check while out on a date with Miss America than you do of being a victim of terrorism...unless it's from your own Govt that is...your Lockerbie and OKC citations have nothing to do with it at all.
