Do you think the President of the United States should be a natural born citizen? Why or why not?

Would you support a constitutional amendment removing the natural born citizen requirement for office of President?

No.

Especially with the recent (last 20 years) huge influx of illegal immigrants and their resulting anchor babies.

I think that the 8 attempts made by various Congressmen from 2003 to 2008 to change that requirement sounds a bit too much like they were getting ready to suggest a person to run for office who was not natural born.

Too many attempts at changing that part of the Constitution in that short span of time make me wonder why anybody who wants to keep our government going would want to make that change.

How about the 5 times between 1974 and 1977?

How about the total of 26 times since the 1870s?

Were they "getting ready to suggest a person to run for office who was not natural born" too?

And who would it have been? Certainly not Obama, since as we all know... he is a natural born citizen!

Yes I support it, You'd have to be something of a moron to discriminate on someone based on place of birth for such a complicated job. Honestly, there's nothing other than nativist sentiments among ignorant people behind keeping this, look at the birther movement.
