Who said anything about wrong? It was not right or wrong, it was just a poor business move
I asked you about 200 posts back if you had JCPs numbers since they hired Ellen.
If you do, kindly post them.
If not, this is merely speculation on your part.
So, please tell us what this post has to do with the topic? All I see here is a very weak attempt at a personal attack.
You're not looking in the right place. Or you can't see very well.
Why would you call out the reply as opposed to the initial off-topic post they were replying to? And then call the person replying a child? Seems like a personal attack to me.
The only honest reason is that you agree with the person they were replying to. So you didn't care that their post was off-topic.
Theres not a damn thing in the world wrong with JCP hiring Ellen.
There, does that make you feel better?
x2. Finn_Jarber, let it go. No one should be fired because an extremist minority doesn't like their sexual orientation. And a business like JCP can afford whatever small price there is to pay for not compromising here. Shows good moral sense, and shame on anyone to discourage that in the business world (yes, even casting it off as a "poor business move").
In contemporary American politics, "family values" is known as a "code word" - something that disguises more hateful aspects of an agenda as something nice and innocent. By using a code word that is carefully chosen, a politician (or person) can say they are "for family values" and sound as all-American as apple pie, but what they mean is that they intend to promote this particular narrow (and offensivetomany) agenda. Their opponent is stuck in a foolish tangle of phraseology - how can they say they are against "family values"?
^^precisely.
