Is there a test required to get into the store?

Just goes to show that stupid is as stupid does.

Group Demands That J.C. Penney Fire Ellen Because She’s Gay | XFINITY TV Blog by Comcast

One Million Moms — a project of the American Family Association — is very angry at J.C. Penney.

No, not because it sells sweater vests (heck, Rick Santorum is a fan of those), but because the Texas-based department store has hired Ellen DeGeneres as a spokeswoman.

And DeGeneres is — cue the scary music — gay, and open about it.
the best way to fire that crazy perverted woman is for those people to stop shopping at jcpenney.

Too much made about this family value thing. Just as their are hyppocrites who claim to be Christians, i know a couple of these people.. Don't like Ellen, do not go into the store.

At least Ellen knows who she is, and is in no way Fake by any means. Gay people are a part of our society, i suggest, if you do not like living on earth with Gay people, then try moving to the Moon.

Don't like Ellen, do not go into JCP, which by the way, i like very much, good more for me then.
I agree!! Ellen isn't promoting anything by this, she has a look that's fresh, whats the problem. I've always shopped Jc Penney and I'm with you, things won't be so picked over!!

I'm personally a Christian and I have to say.... I'm so sick and tired of these so called Christian groups spreading their hate and judgemental attitudes.

Any Christian group that separates out one particular "Sin" and is focused on that does not have a single clue about what Christianity is all about.

Where is the equal outcry against greed, porn, casinos, war, poverty, justice, drugs and alcohol and drugs, infidelity and broken homes.

The bible says very clearly that we will be known by the world by the example of our LOVE. So, where's the love in these folks? It sure is not visable. They love their own. Their own families and like minded people. Jesus says, "So what, even the wicked do that."

Christians should not have any special concern at all about sins. Sins exist in manifold ways. We can not count the number of forms they take. What we as Christians should be concerned about in the realm is SIN. The only thing we can do about SIN is to live our own lives as an example, preach the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ and leave the dealing with sin to God. He is the one who deals with people and their sin, not us Christians who by definition are no different except by the grace of God.
Remember what Jesus says about the man who is trying to deal with his neighbour's sin.
"You hippocrite, why are you trying to remove the splinter from your neighbour's eye when you have an entire log in your own".

Default "One Million Moms" wants JC Penney to dump Ellen DeGeneres as their spokesperson because she is gay. JC Penney refuses.

Quote:
J.C. Penney is turning its back on One Million Moms, a group which called for the retailer to dump talk show host Ellen DeGeneres as its national spokeswoman because she is gay.

One Million Moms, a project of the American Family Association, earlier said that "DeGeneres is not a true representation of the type of families that shop at their store. The majority of JC Penney shoppers will be offended and choose to no longer shop there."
J.C. Penney stands behind Ellen DeGeneres

Some of these socially conservative groups are just nutty. I sometimes have to wonder about the mental stability of their members.

Good for Pennys.

Like all outrage about accepting homosexuality, when things don't turn crazy because of it, the hatred will slowly subside.

Why do they have to bother - In the old days if a woman was a lebian or a man was gay - no one gave it any thought...or mention - we just appreciated the character for what they were. It's not that I have a hate for those who don't NEED me (male) - just don't make it a theme or issue - it's of no real consequence....what gets me about rich lesbians like Ellan..is they always manage to get a hot straight chick to live with them - usually for the money and status.
If you liked her so much, you wouldn't be calling her disparaging names - so nice show of hypocrisy there. And you preferred the "good old days," when gays were silenced and forced to stay in the closet, often hurting people (like their "beard" spouses) in the process? Thankfully we have evolved since then, and don't hold your breath on them returning to the closet... that ship has sailed for good!

I would get rid of her, because she is bad for business, and the 1 million moms have already proven that. Keeping her a bad business move from JCPenny's part.
