Sarah? That you?

We're light years removed from being anywhere close to that scumbag's actions. He deliberately starved more than 7,000,000 people to death, real close to possibly making people concerned with what they eat, eh?

Distilled water is a toxic substance!

Anything consumed has the potential to create adverse events. there is no known substance that has no deliterious effects at some point in some people.

Rat poison is a blood thinner..warfrin.

Acetometaphin is a great suicide drug...taken in high doses.

Perhaps each person should be assigned a federal guardian.

The only reason to ban sugar would be the belief by the government agencies and bureaucrats that people are too stupid to fend for themselves. There is no other reason.

More political activist pseudo-science. A scientist is interested in discovery, not politics. You can tell from the following:

A team at UCSF published a paper in Nature this week, claiming sugar is a toxic, addictive substance that should be regulated by the government, and even banned when it come to children.
that they are not scientists, rather political activists trying to push political policy and legislation.

Before they even began the study, they had already established what their conclusion was going to be.

Its not pseudo science. The sugar in our diets begins to rot our teeth in minutes which you would think might be a clue something isn't normal and its not going to get any better down the digestive tract. Refined sugar is not found in nature in those quantities.

The issue is do I want a big brother state trying to save every fool? That answer is NO. I do lament that most use our freedom to no good end. The problem is despotism in the guise of brotherhood is an even worse end.

What's funny about these food regulations is that the same people that are for these bans and regulations are for making all drugs legal. Can someone explain this to me my head hurts trying to sort it out!

Look no further for the 'true' reason for the hysterics than the following ..

Quote:
Many cities and counties in California are interested in imposing a tax on products such as soda and other sugar-sweetened beverages – a policy strategy that could discourage consumption of the product and provide a dedicated source of revenue for local public health programs.

Joe Scarborough took sugar packets this morning and made a "Belushi line" on the desk as his co anchor was reading this story.

Ridiculous. I think a lot of people could do without much of the sugar we intake, but it shouldn't be regulated like alcohol.

Refresh my memory but doesn't New York have, or is working on a similar law regarding salt in foods.
