I believe it's from his days when he was in the military. He fought for our country so he could stand up and speak freely even if the president doesn't' like it. We are not Russia---not yet anyway.
He is not fighting anymore and I to was in the military doesn't mean you keep that stupid hair cut. But it is a visible sign to how disconnected he is.
I have to keep asking this question, but of course never get a answer. Ever heard of personal responsibility? Everyone can not live in the suburbs, no matter how much we would like them too. At the same time, everyone who live in the low income area's are not poor.
One of my cousins chose to rent for 20 years in a low income are in order to keep her children in private school and ultimately college. This bias when discussing Blacks in low income area's compared to Whites who live in low income trailer parks is why Republicans are accused of being out of touched, biased ect.
You live where you can afford until you can afford more. Who the Politcian is in office at the time to me means absolutely nothing.
I do have to agree with you here, I lived in the "poor" part of town until our son graduated from high school. We lived a street over from halfway houses and were happy. BUT low income areas are where most crime is committed. Most are stuck there for one reason or another.

Low income areas are where the most crimes are reported. Low income areas are where those in the suburbs go to buy their drugs, frequent prostitues, strip bars. The suburbs have their issues as well that are not widely reported.

We get a crime report in the paper each week. We know what areas are getting hit by crime. Poor people are exploited that's for sure. Is welfare the answer or good jobs?
