The philosophy of throwing out the baby with the bath water is quite effective.

Actually the teacher's union and all superintendents should be replaced, as it is it is these 2 groups that let everything go downhill in the first place.

UTLA and the sup's are renowned for corruption and inaction in Los Angeles. Replace just the teachers and the same problems will be back in no time.

The problem at Miramonte school runs very deep. A pedophile teacher was protected for over 20 years by the principal and the school counselor.

The teachers are being replaced and MOVED to another school where they will be working (if I had a kid at the school where those teachers are moving I would ask to transfer them to another school). Miramonte will receive all new teachers. They are going to interview every past student who attended the school for the last 20 years as well to determine how many were victimized.

They should put webcams in all classrooms so that parents can monitor what goes on in the classroom. It's sad. Anybody with money in Los Angeles has their kids in private schools, nobody sends their kid to LAUSD schools if they value their child's education.

I want to know why it took them three months to remove the teacher from the classroom after the photo technician at CVS shared the photos of the children tied up, with the police. I would be so angry if I were a parent at that school.

From the sound of it, they need not only to replace all teachers and staff and administration from that school but fumigate it as well. Poor, poor kids.

It's the teachers union again protecting the bad teachers over doing what is needed early on.
My wife has siblings who go to that school now and they are of course disgusted by all this.
Obviously they are getting rid of all the old crap to avoid not letting another turd float in public view.

It's the power of the government unions. Remember the teacher's unions alone donated 0ver 400 million dollars to Obama for his election in 2008.

No webcams because the teachers union would not like to know the crap your children are being endocrinated to.
