This whole thing is not really a Catholic issue, Catholics in polls pretty much mirror people of other faith groups, Catholics like Santorum are a minority and nobody except a very small minority listen to the Bishops or pope when it come to sex issues of any kind.
This is more to do about the conservatives in the Republican Party "the moral majority" "the Christian Right" "right to life before birth but not after birth" groups.
Here's a good article

Most Catholics want the pope and bishops out of their bedroom.

Women have traditionally made up the majority of practicing Catholics are leaving the Catholic Church in higher numbers these days, they are fed up with the misogyny of the hierarchy.

In diocese like mine many of the Catholic churches do not allow girl altar servers, priest can refuse to say Mass if there is a girl altar server and in parishes where they do have female altar servers they have been warned that they cannot have more female altar servers than male servers.

It is not just the Catholic Church, it is the invasion of Church by the government. It can be any religion or church.

This was only the tip the iceberg. The Constitution protects us from what Obama tried to do.

The cult of liberalism is the biggest problem.

What cult is it, exactly, that you adhere to?

The definition of 'church' is very narrow. In that particular case, the person did have ministerial responsibilities and so was treated as a 'church' employee.
And churches are exempt from this HHS provision.
Do you believe that the Supreme Court would regard doctors, nurses, etc. in the same light?

Also, the Supreme Court refused to hear a case involving a similar mandate passed in NY state and so the mandate is still in force as it is in 27 other states and several have no religious exemption.

I wouldn't count on using this most recent case an an exemplar for how the Supremes might rule if it does get that far.

Parents.

Why do they have a problem with women making their own choices?
