A few weeks ago I read about a German study on electric cars. They found out that unless the electricity used to charge the batteries comes from renewable energies, the environmental footprint of electric cars is even worse than that of conventional cars

I actually agree with this statement. It really annoys me that electric cars are marketed as being so "green" when in reality, the coal burned to produce that electricity is anything but.

Yes, the pollution is just outsourced from the car to some unknown place far away
