Oh dear....just one more incorrect prediction from the AGWcultists. Their world continues to crumble.

The Himalayas and nearby peaks have lost no ice in past 10 years, study shows | Environment | The Guardian

Quote:
The world's greatest snow-capped peaks, which run in a chain from the Himalayas to Tian Shan on the border of China and Kyrgyzstan, have lost no ice over the last decade, new research shows.

The discovery has stunned scientists, who had believed that around 50bn tonnes of meltwater were being shed each year and not being replaced by new snowfall.
Yes, I'm sure they WERE stunned. See...when you believe the AGW models (beyond corrupted) over the actual data and your own eyes, no wonder they are stunned.

Earth's Polar Ice Melting Less Than Thought - US News and World Report

Earth's Polar Ice Melting Less Than Thought

Quote:
If the amount of ice lost between 2003 and 2010 covered the United States, the whole country would be under one-and-a-half feet of water, or it'd fill Lake Erie eight times, researchers say. Ocean levels worldwide are rising about six hundredths of an inch per year, according to researcher John Wahr.

While vast quantities of ice melting into the ocean is not exactly good news, Wahr says, according to his team's estimates, about 30 percent less ice is melting than previously thought.
Look how they try to couch the *****Disaster***** of LESS Polar Ice melt - try to convince us there should be something to worry about with all this..."potential" flooding....WHERE is the flooding?

Yeah, that Polar Ice cap The Goreacle told us would be melted by now is still there....

Actual real scientists admitting they were wrong in the case of this one particular area.

What would you have them do? Lie that they made a mistake?

Your own links also show that other than this one mountain range, their predictions of ice loss was correct in Greenland and the Polar caps.

SANRENE, THANKS FOR MAKING THE CASE THAT GLOBAL WARMING SCIENTISTS ARE HONEST AND FAIRLY RELIABLE

Nobody ever claimed scientists were perfect in their predictions.

The Goreacle has moved on, so I think the rest of the AGW's should follow him on over to Current TV, which is currently having a problem with their franchise commentator, Olbermann.

Haven't you heard? They have switched from "global warming" to "climate change" with the realization that the global warming proposition was a hoax. Now ANY change, whether it is warmer or colder, can be attributed to US industrial production. The solution- cut US industrial production.

The left has proven yet again to be "useful idiots" in the greater world communist movement.

Sorry, these are credible, independent scientists, NOT the cabal AGWarmists (Hanson, Mann, UEA, Smidth, Trenbert, Romm, etc) that have corrupted the data/process.

The cabal that has pushed their faulty, defective models for years have never been right yet.

No....The Goreacle is down at the Antarctic (during summer) pointing out all the ice melt.

Why not? They've been lying for 20 years, why stop now?

But not for the reasons global warming pukes claim.

That's only because they got caught with their pants down and their hands in the cookie jar.

The global warming crowd did.

They've never been right. Not ever. Not even once. All they did was suck up tax dollars for 20 years that could have been used to develop a non-combustion engine for automobiles.

What were the idiots claiming? A 10 meter rise in sea level? Yeah, that's right, but the were wrong, so they changed it to 3 meters, and they were still wrong so they were threatening 1 meter and they were still wrong and then they started harping on 3 cm and they were still wrong.

Hell, Jerry Falwell has a better track-record of predictions than the global warming turds.

They are totally clueless and incompetent (except when it comes to lying and coercing the public into forking over more tax dollars).

Globally cooling...

Mircea

From that article:

Quote:
... the scientist who led the new work is clear that while greater uncertainty has been discovered in Asia's highest mountains, the melting of ice caps and glaciers around the world remains a serious concern.

"Our results and those of everyone else show we are losing a huge amount of water into the oceans every year," said Prof John Wahr of the University of Colorado. "People should be just as worried about the melting of the world's ice as they were before."
And from that article:

Quote:
The team used data from the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment satellite, which was launched as a joint project between NASA and Germany in 2002. The GRACE satellite measures gravity, which is related to mass, in 20 distinct regions worldwide. Wahr says that gives the team more accurate estimates, because previous teams had to measure ice loss at "a few easily accessible glaciers" and then extrapolate it to the 200,000 glaciers worldwide.

"It's tough to get an estimate [with previous methods]," he says.

Shhh...keep this quiet. If global warming is debunked, liberals will lose their main vehicle they are using to run all over America and everything this country was built on and their chance at enslaving the American people to a pseudo-religious environmentalist cult.

Its pathetic our nation's entire economic policy is centered around this hoax. Obama continues to enact policies that restrict the freedom of Americans and weaken America's economic standing in response to a threat that doesn't even exist. Pure insanity.
