Air Force Removes "God" From Logo (Obama, military, religion)

The logo was recently removed, according to Forbes, after objections by the Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers.

Jason Torpy, president of the association, said the word "God" had no place in the logo because not all members of the military are religious. "We just hope (the Air Force) can provide more equal opportunities for atheists and humanists in the military."

It's sad in a way. The Air Force is finally growing up and as part of that process has outgrown its imaginary friend.

I was like, "What? Since when did the Air Force logo contain the word 'God?'" It turns out that they removed the word from the logo of a LOCAL Air Force entity. I was seeing the MAIN AF logo in my head and didn't recall it having "God" in it. So, the main logo remains the same.

How can he be Muslim and an atheist? I would think the two would be mutually exclusive.

I did, but look at the stuff so many people post here. It's not unreasonable to have thought that someone meant that sincerely!
