There are few issues that get young women more incensed that the contraception issue.

Did Obama Administration Pick a Fight on Birth Control Deliberately? - The Daily Beast
Yeah I really hate the phrase "11th dimensional chess" when referring to political strategy, but conservatives are getting seriously played on this issue without realizing it. The fight over birth control in Mississippi last year showed how crazy things are getting in the anti-women crowd. Ten years ago it would've been unthinkable they'd go from attacking abortion to attacking contraception, but here we are.

Nothing to do with being an adult, this W.H. please! as usual with this W.H. lets apease them for now, and then!

And there is this thing coming up called an ELECTION, like this has nothing what so ever to do with that at all!
And this is one reason that the Republican party will not win the election next November........... The complete failure to have any kind of negotiation or adjustments in their decission making. Americans have now the lowest opinion of Congress EVER and this is because of Republican intransigence. This "holier than thou" attitude is now wearing thin with most Americans and this Birth control circus will come back to bite the right and the church in the Butt. Obama has once again shown he IS the adult in the room and listens, this is why he is a far better President than ANY of the Nominees in the GOP at the moment ......... Even the Republican voters can't decide which one is worse.

But Viagra is ok ?
Birth Control is extremely important to the health of the nation as it prevents many unwanted pregnancies leading to neglected sick babies being treated every day in America

Don't forget the non-pregnancy related things birth control helps with.

Irregular menstrual cycles
Violent mood swings
Depression
Acne

Excellent points

Coming right on the heels of the SGK/PP flare-up, women, young and old, were already in a fighting mood.
I agree that it definitely puts the president on the right side with regard to women's healthcare issues.

For all those still trying to pretend that this infringes or infringed on religious freedom, one of the great things about this country is that we are free FROM religion as well.
When people start to feel that they must be compelled to follow religious strictures in places of public accomodation, there will be some serious backlash and it will not be from just those who do not share a particular faith.

Well isn't Viagra cover by insurance. Why should that be covered and not birth control. Besides a lot of women take birth control for a variety of health issues.
