We need to take GW's advice and let the rest of the world fend for themselves.

“We are thus in the position of having to borrow from Europe to defend Europe, of having to borrow from China and Japan to defend Chinese and Japanese access to Gulf oil, and of having to borrow from Arab emirs, sultans and monarchs to make Iraq safe for democracy. We borrow from the nations we defend so that we may continue to defend them. To question this is an unpardonable heresy called ‘isolationism.’” -- Pat Buchanan

I agree with that. The world does not need us anymore than the Indians needed us. They will eventually figure it out on their own and probably faster if we are not involved.

I disagree with Kagan.

Considering Kagan's role in promoting the Iraq War, there is very little - strike that - nothing that he can write say or do that would lend me to believe that anyone in their right mind would take his words for anything.
