i remember a thread here in ~summer of 2008 where lots of people were drop-dead certain that we would never see gas below $3.50 a gallon in this country ever again.

That's because the election was over by then.

If gas prices do heat up this summer, conservatives will SCREAM about it being Obama's fault just like the libs blamed Bush.
