New Jersey will be next! Governor Christie will cave in.
Do you think? From what I know of Christie, I'm not sure I can see him being agreeable to this......at all.
I hope I'm wrong.
I have to say that there sure seems to be more support than opposition for marriage equality in this state. I see a lot of excitement about what happened today and there is also support from some church communities.

There's too much pressure on him. If Obama wins by a landslide which I think it will, Christie will know that by being too far right will hurt his chance. New Jersey is a pretty liberal state as well. I don't know if I am correct, but isn't true that gay marriage legislation that get passed in both houses in those 7 states, those governors went along with it?
If you are married, will this change your marriage?
If the answer to any of those questions is yes, please tell me in explicit detail how this will effect you personally.
Good luck with that.
I have asked the same questions many times and never - not once - gotten a direct answer.
NO ONE can explain how marriage equality will negatively affect them - except to say that it's "wrong," that gays are trying to change the "definition" of marriage, that gays already have the right to marry - just someone of the opposite sex, blah, blah, blah......
Anyway, this is good news for this state and I see it as being good news for the rest of the country. I have hope that things will start to move along at a faster pace now, with the ruling in California last week and now this; of course, a Santorum presidency would likely kiss all of it good-bye and throw us back 100 years.

I too have asked the same questions before...and never get an answer that makes any sense.
There are 7 states that have approved gay marriage.
Once the other 43 are on board, then bring up the topic you're trying to use to distract.
