In reaction to a recently-released Pentagon report indicating a marked increase in sexual assaults in the army since 2006, Trotta suggests:

Quote:
"I think they have actually discovered there is a difference between men and women. And the sexual abuse report says that there has been, since 2006, a 64% increase in violent sexual assaults. Now, what did they expect? These people are in close contact, the whole airing of this issue has never been done by Congress, it's strictly been a question of pressure from the feminists."

[Fox News host Eric] Shawn argued that the programs are necessary to protect those victims. Trotta responded that the purpose of the military is "to defend and protect us, not the people who were fighting the war."

Most all if not all female soldiers in the Iraq war who were captures were raped. It is the concern the military had in having women near a combat zone on the ground.

Wow, I thought even Fox News would be classier then blaming the victim for rape.

Even the host was moved to defend against her vile remarks. At one point she even scoffed in laughter at the notion that we have a duty to protect those who fight for us. I believe an immediate firing is in order.

Second rule of conservatism: thou shalt not cast disparaging remarks on the military. It's not the fault of the rapists who comprise a large chunk of the military that they rape all the female servicemembers, it's the female servicemembers for knowingly joining an organization which nearly guarantees they'll be raped.

Fox is not responsible for what guests (and hosts) say on their station.
