So was Blackstone's Commentaries.

As a matter of fact, of all the books in their possession, Blackstone was #3 in terms of their most commonly used references, while Aristotle did not make their top 40.

And from Blackstone we receive the only definition of natural born citizen that existed in the entire English language at the time of the Constitution's Framing. To whit:

Any one (even the children of aliens) born on national soil who is not the child of foreign diplomat or alien army in hostile occupation is a natural born citizen.

Wow. 6 people listening to the press conference.

That's two full Dr. Kate "Usurpathons."

But only half a Carl Swensson "Pitchfork and Torches Rally."

Yep... same pattern as usual.

Well see, the Birthers didn't invent the bogus "2 citizen parent" requirement until after the election.

They can hardly be blamed for not knowing a lie they hadn't made up yet.

And here's another. A Birther in Alaska has now filed a ballot challenge there... but this one is a little more honest than most Birthers about why he believes Obama is not eligible to be President.

Quote:
"As stated above, for an Individual to be a Candidate for the Office of President of the United States, the Candidate must meet the qualifications as set forth in the United States Constitution and one of those qualifications is that the Candidate shall be a “natural born Citizen†of the United States. As Barack Hussein Obama II is of the “Mulatto†race, his status of citizenship is founded upon the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Before the [purported] ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment, the race of “Negro†or “Mulatto†had no standing to be citizens of the United States under the United States Constitution. "
You want to know why there are Birthers? That's the whole reason in a nutshell... right there.

Maybe, maybe not.

But posting a Congressional Globe account of a debate regarding the Civil Rights Act of 1866, and that has nothing to do with the 14th Amendment hardly makes that case, you know?

At least I can tell the difference between the Civil Rights Act of 1866 and the 14th Amendment to the Constitution two years later.

You? Not so much.

Sheriff Arpaio is not a mystery. His positions are well known.

Especially regarding the POTUS's eligibility.

Signing an affirmation of him, more than includes his investigation of BHO Usurper of the law, and traitor to America.
