Right now the rights of parents to raise their children are being infringed on by government and food isn't the only way.

As the OP stated, probably Obama. Blame him. I"m not convinced that every thread complaining about government over reach is really about blaming Obama.
I have never bought into the accusation that every thing that is wrong in this nation is obama's fault....there are enough people and blame to go around, that is for certain.
And while these things may not necessarily be his fault, he does hold the ability to get them under control immediately.

I don't want Obama or any President to have immediate control over local school aides. I thought you felt the same way. That's just me and my big government ways.
Unless you are very young and training like a Navy Seal, eating a Big Mac and supersizing the fries and coke will make you heavy.
I used to be able to eat 2 whoopers and fries when I was teenager and I ate like that every day and nearly every meal, I was lean and still am but I wasn't sitting on my ass all the time either. I still eat a lot but the difference between me and the other guy is do lot of physical activity as I did when I was young. An average day for me when growing up usually included walking 1 mile too and from school, getting on my bike when I got home and maybe riding 2 or 3 miles. I was usually riding somewhere to do a physical activity like a game of neighborhood football. This wasn't an uncommon thing for most of the kids I knew to be doing. There was perhaps three kids in my elementary classes out of perhaps 50 students (25 to a class) that could be called overweight. Two were "chubby" and one was really big but he had a medical problem.
The fact is kids don't exercise like they used too, they get some weight and that follows them through life. Eating a healthy diet is important but you should be more concerned about the balanced part and making sure kids are exercising instead of worrying so much about how much they are eating.
This is modern day liberalism at it's finest. It is unfortunate that so many big government liberals are building the nanny state with our tax dollars. They believe that only the government knows what's best for you and your kids.
Just remember, those lunch inspectors are paid from YOUR TAX DOLLARS.
