Under Romney's plan the bottom 20 percent would see their average federal tax rate increase $149, or 1.3 percent.

The top 20 percent, meanwhile, would see an average tax cut of $16,134 -- a 5.4 percent reduction in their tax rate. The top one percent of earners would see their average tax rate fall by nearly $150,000 per year, and the top 0.1 percent would see a reduction of more than $725,000.

According to the Tax Policy Center, Romney's plan would add $900 billion to the deficit in 2015, when the changes would go into full effect. The group has also found that the 20 percent tax cut, combined with Romney's proposal to repeal the Alternative Minimum Tax, would add $3 trillion to the deficit over ten years - even if the Bush-era tax cuts and more recent tax cuts are extended.

So deficit's don't matter is back?

Interesting....

The top pays something like 70% of the load already. Nothing wrong with the bottom 49% learning what a wage tax bill is.

Obama's tax policy, energy policy, gas prices, food prices, and inflation in general also hit the bottom 20% earners.

Inflation is a tax upon the middle class.

Government keeps spending, we keep paying.

That's what we get when we keep voting for Status Quo Republicrats and fail to reform with Libertarians.

We were willing to risk the nation on a totally unexperienced spoiled brat, but voting for the Party of the Founding Fathers--Libertarians--was TOO RADICAL?

Raising the cost of stuff doesn't evade any level of earning.

Granted some are so into the system they don't care with EBT and so forth.

What would you expect from a wealthy elitist? According to Romney he paid everything owed on his taxes and that amounted to 13.9% of his gross and "not a dime more." Whereas Main street folks were paying about 30% taxes on their meager $30-$50k and not a dime less.

Now Romney did give 10% of his gross to his church. The thing is that his church requires a 10% tithe.
It's really more like a fee for belonging to an exclusive club that he is required to pay. Some how much did he really give? Nil.

Romney is nothing more than a vulture capitalist who makes his money off the suffering of others. His company specializes in plant closures, job cutting, consolidations, and job outsourcing. He will do all he can to protect his own wealth and the riches other elitists at the expense of every working American.
How could Romney possibly represent the real America, the plumbers, electricians, factory workers, service workers, nurses, teachers, police, firemen, etc., when he has never walked a day in their shoes?

And this is why he has no shot to beat Obama. The GOP is so out of touch with reality it's almost pathetic.

I would be willing to raise taxes on the rich if the Democrats would 1. Admit they have a spending problem. 2. Stop borrowing money from China. 3. Start paying off the debt.

Taxers for the middle class have fallen under Obama. It was part of the stimulus plan and also part of that payroll extension that was a ruckus not long ago. The President doesn't make the price of oil nor does he set food prices.

I realize that you want to blindly whine about Obama to fulfill whatever odd emotional need you have to do so, but can you at least get your facts straight beforehand and provide some arguments that you can back up?
