What are they going to do! have spy cameras in everyone's bedroom. Democrat or Republician i think this is nuts.
Have a camera in my bedroom, they just might get a hell of a lot more then they are bargaining for.
Then what?

Brilliant Democratic State Senator Tacks 'Every Sperm is Sacred' Clause to Oklahoma's Personhood Bill
Quote:
The State Senator later willingly withdrew the amendment, telling her colleagues that she had introduced it to highlight the ridiculous sexism inherent in a Personhood Law that would force women to be pregnant.

Nothing like taking a story completely out of context.
Nice try.
Quote:
The bill sought to define human life as beginning at the moment of conception, before it's even implanted in the womb, and offers full legal protection to those tiny multicelled lumps. In the words of the bill, "the unborn child at every stage of development (has) all the rights, privileges, and immunities available to other persons, citizens, and residents of this state."
|
What would this actually mean? For one thing, the father would be responsible for the care and feeding of his "child" from the moment of conception.....that would mean he is 50% responsible for caring for the woman.....her housing, her food, her transporation, her medical bills.....EVERYTHING. Those "child" support payments are going to go way, way up, and start 9 months earlier than they do now.
And what about all of those frozen "children"...... "living"..... in fertility clinics? Do their parents have the right to keep them imprisoned in a frozen limbo? Should the parents be charged with child abuse? Should an embryo be represented by legal counsel........ so the parents can be forced to have it implanted so it can get out of "test tube" prison?
Can parents declare an embryo as a dependent on their income taxes?
The only lunatics in this story are the conservative legislators that introduced this ridiculous Personhood Bill in the first place.....without giving a thought to the real world consequences.
