I agree . It's simply the only thing right wing nuts can do in their losing battle with societal change is all.

You people, and others who support this law, are not trying to reason with women you are looking to make things as painful and unpleasant for them as possible.

And it's none of your business who decides to have an abortion.

You obviously know nothing about persuasion. Forced sonograms and monitoring of fetal heartbeat is not an appeal based on reason (logos); it's an appeal based on emotion (pathos). Basic Aristotle. Likewise if you knew anything about reason, you would not be ignoring that facts of the situation: abortion is legal and is not murder. So get control of yourself and your emotions, and stop trying to force your faith beliefs on others. Although I know that the emotions that come with not being able to control women, their bodies, and the law is obviously too much for you to handle at times, you really need to figure out how to view the world rationally rather than emotionally.

Seems to me that sonograms and monitoring of fetal heartbeats provide objective, rational evidence that the fetus is more than just a blob of tissue - a human being. That's important because many women at risk for abortion try to convince themselves that it's not really a baby. Out of sight, out of mind.

Yes, there is also an emotional component. God gave women a maternal instinct to protect their babies, and this technology can help awaken that instinct, which has probably been suppressed out of fear.

Murder has a definition apart from the law. It used to be legal to kill runaway slaves. That was still murder.

No, murder is sometimes legal. Do you really need more examples? It was legal to kill Jews in Nazi Germany. But it was murder.

If it was objective science (episteme), the data would be demonstrable and there would be no reason to debate "that which cannot be otherwise" (Aristotle, NE). Obviously, this is not the case. You somehow see and hear a baby. Others see and hear a fetus.

Oh really? Can you provide the science for this conclusion? I wasn't aware that scientists had undertaken a study of how to "awaken" maternal instinct given by God.

Pure propaganda.

Try to stay on topic. We are talking about legal means by which women have a right to control their bodies and reproduction in the 21st century.
