A Republican lawmaker blasted his party’s leaders as “petty” Thursday for blocking a proposal to prevent insider trading by members of Congress.

House Financial Services Chairman Spencer Bachus (R-Ala.) had scheduled a markup on the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge (STOCK) Act for next week, but Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) stepped in Wednesday to kill that plan.

Reason and Logic has NEVER been a "conservative" strength. GOP relies on GOD. It works.

I am personally going to call his office and give them a piece of my mind. This is bs and it disappoints me that he would try to block this. I expect people like Pelosi to block it but not him.

If we cant get something as simple and full of common sense as this bill is passed, then we truly are screwed as a country.
