...of the United States, in order to simply our lives by having the government dictate our speech, religion (or lack thereof) our opinions, and the allocations of the fruits of our labor (if applicable) do hereby burn and destroy our constitution of the United States of America.

Okay, that was fun, yet somewhat of a terrifying thought.

Lets face it. Every American should demand this of every candidate of any party. They should ask 3 basic things.

1. What policies would you like to see implemented? And be concise!

Saying things like 'hope and change' or 'family values' are BS! Those aren't policies. Polices are specific rulings that permit or restrict certain behaviors. No speeches, just answer the damned question!

2. How much will this cost, or reduce costs? Dollar amount!

Again, no speeches with emotive chants telling us how noble your agenda is. Just give a dollar amount on how much it would cost, damn it! Or, if it would reduce expenses, then how much could be retained by the taxpayer, and what services would be eliminated as a result.

If they truly have no idea how much it would cost, then they don't deserve to be on the ballot!

3. Where do you plan to get the money?

Yup, you guessed it, no speeches. Just requires a one-sentence answer. Possible sources for revenue include raising income tax, selling assets to foreign powers, tariffs and duties, selling bonds, and borrowing and going even deeper into debt.

[Just keep in mind if you raise taxes and fees for those big evil corporations, they'll only raise their prices and lower the wages to cover the expense and Joe Workingstiff will have to lower his standard of living.]

It is most tragic that the American public has stopped asking these questions and are so easily swayed by emotion-laden rhetoric that says nothing about how the candidate will actually do anything worth while. We easily fall under the illusion that all those noble things will cost us nothing. Well, who else is there to foot the bill other than us? Do the math!

So therefore, please get it through your heads. *THERE IS NO FREE STUFF!* Maybe a small number of people can get handouts, but all and all, most people will have to be the contributors. What are your chances of being on the receiving end rather than the paying end??? If a campaigner tells you everyone gets stuff for free, he's lying!!! It's a mathematical impossibility!

Okay, think about that before you vote.

1. Policy I would follow, FOLLOW THE DAMNED CONSTITUTION.

I don't care what it is, medicare, emergency medical treatment act, war on drugs, etc. Countless other things that are unconstitutional, passed by either one or both parties at some time or another, have lead us to a world where the President can do whatever he wants, whenever. You're a Democrat? You like the affordable care act? Fine, but think about what a Republican President can do with precedents like that? Scary stuff.

2. How much would it cost?

No more then it already does, it would probably be significantly cheaper

3. Where do I plan on getting the money?

The same taxes we use now would probably be sufficient.
