Did you get that? A LOCAL RULE adopted by the Lake County schools, not the new federal rules.

"Lake got ahead of the curve by starting the fruits-and-veggies rule before the new federal mandate was finalized."

Every conclusion in that article regarding the impact of the new federal rules is CONJECTURE. It's the Sentinel's OPINION and their opinion only. The paper is guilty of one of most horrendous crimes a news outlet can be guilty of: editorial opinion disguised as "news."

And, y'all fell for it.
I guess the fact that they know, from experience, that the kids will be feeding so many of their healthy fruits to dumpster divers is totally wrong. They now are forced to feed the kids like that.

I think that maybe you need to take your deflecting ways to a different thread since you actually failed this time.

Sorry, still, he said Obamacare in that post not Obama. Nope, you just jumped on an attack of the food police as one on Obama. What do you call Obamacare in this kind of discussion. Surely not by its official name since that takes most of a line of typing.

Damne fine question that I bet Media Matters is being assaulted by THEM for an answer to right now.

One of the reasons these new rules were adopted was to REDUCE the amount of wastage under the old rules, adopted in 2005 by the Republican Congress and the Bush administration.

Don't believe it? Here's the new FDA rules and their reasoning behind adopting them:
