Repealing the law to allow possession in National parks was encouraged by the Mexican drug cartel lobby as they would be the only 'visitors' in possession of firearms. that would be a great advantage to kill other park visitors who stumble on pot gardens.

Western states didn't put up signs warning visitors of the danger of hiking in their national parks without reason.

Again, feel good laws to garner votes only apply to people who have no intention of ever shooting anyone with or without restrictive laws. Meanwhile the targeted violators will choose to ignore the law designed to protect society.

It was the man behind the trigger who did the killing. There are plenty of predators in our national parks, be they 4 legged or 2 legged. Large swaths of our National Parks along our Southern border are unsafe due to human & drug traffiking into the US from Mexico. Does anyone really believe that stoping those CCW permit holders who have already undergone background checks is going to make the National Parks more safe? Does anyone really think those illegally traffiking humans and drugs through US National Parks are going to pay attention to another gun law?
