Because, really. As long as it's based upon their ideals, they could not care less how unconstitutional the law is.

Common decency is not radical, nor is it mutually exclusive to the dem camp or indie camps. When it's utterly lacking on your side of the aisle, that falls under the heading of a self inflicted wound.

And now passes the Senate! The Gov has indicated he will sign it.

Congrats on being #7, Maryland!

NJ you coulda been #7, but a certain fat ass single-handedly stood in the way

Next time I want to take a vacation I will look into Ocean City, MD because Wildwood, NJ is a little less fabulous now.

Not to be nitpicky, but I think MY state (Washington) was #7.

Not to diminish the fact that this is wonderful news for the citizens of Maryland.

that's really odd, because to me being straight would be abnormal.. simply because i've never experienced what it's like to BE straight.

funny how God would make different types of people with different traits and then call those traits abnormal.

never asked to be born.

you can tell when someone's God is fake when they're just as bigotted against a trait as that person is.

Very tight Senate pass! Would hold off on the celebration. Looks like there is a strong possibility that this will result in a vote in November.

Does this mean folks can get married now or will they have to wait until after the November elections?
