Is the Right Wing always so simplistic when posting on this board?

Some political opinions are simplistic and harmless to practically everybody, but others are simplistic and quite harmful to the majority.

Do you know why so many people are leaving the UK for the US? Because the economy in the UK is in the toilet, the healthcare system sucks (now it does, it was good before they allowed 20 million legal and illegal immigrants enter the UK in 20 years), you are either rich in the UK or you are struggling (no more middle class).

Thanks to Socialism and Socialilzed Healthcare. Thanks, but no thanks. Let this idea stay in the UK and France, where people's lifestyles suck.

It's true, it is socialism. And if the Government has a hand in it, it is socialism. If you want to know what it would be like, move to the UK, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Cuba, etc, etc. Why do you think most of them come here to be cared for or to have any major surgery performed? Why do you think most of the Doctors and nurses from these countries want to come here to the US to practice? My you are naive aren't you? But then of course you are, you're voting for Hillary or Obama, aren't you? Don't worry, if one of those two get in you'll have your worst nightmare, just as you wish. I only hope that you can take it after you get it and that you're man enough to admit that it is what you wanted and not try and blame it on the other guy for bringing it upon us. I have a sneaking hunch though that once it gets you in it's clutches, you'll want to naw your leg off to get away from it.

Default Universal Health Care

Universal Health Care run by the Government is a Socialist Medical program and has already proven a disaster in every country it has been established. That is why everyone that has lived with it wants what America has or at least did have before the HMOs started turning it toward socialized medicine, or don't you, ParkTwain, believe the facts when they are presented to you?Or Are you so pompous that you believe that you are the majority? You know, you may very well be, but if you are, then it is a sad day in our history and heaven help the future we go into. And, by the way it is not polite to talk down to those you feel are less educated than you. Just because I only have a MBA and I guess you have a PHD, right?, then, you feel you have the right to put someone, you consider inferior to you down. When I grew up here in Texas, we accepted everyone at face value, treated everyone equally and respected what they had to say, however short and to the point it was. It was called manners and respect. What state are you from Twain?

what a load of propaganda, nobody with socialized health care even dreams of trading it over for the US system

Nor is America's international reputation in health care as high as many Americans boast it to be. "Ask anyone you know from a foreign country... which country is the envy of the world when it comes to health care," Rush Limbaugh wrote in See, I Told You So. But according to a Gallup poll published by the Toronto Star, only 2 percent of all Canadians believe that the U.S. has a better health care system than their own. (5)
The U.S. has the best health care system in the world

.S. Trails Others in Health Care Satisfaction
Friday, October 29, 2004
By Todd Zwillich

Americans are more dissatisfied than citizens of other nations with their basic health care (search) even while paying more of their own money for treatment, a five-nation survey released Thursday notes.
The study shows that people in the U.S. face longer wait times to see doctors and have more trouble getting care on evenings or weekends than do people in other industrialized countries. At the same time, Americans were more likely to receive advice on disease prevention and self-care than others.
One-third of Americans told pollsters that the U.S. health care system should be completely rebuilt, far more than residents of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, or the U.K. Just 16 percent of Americans said that the U.S. health care system needs only minor changes, the lowest number expressing approval among the countries surveyed.
“In no country is the majority of adults satisfied,” says Cathy Schoen, a vice president at the Commonwealth Fund (search), a nonprofit group that conducted surveys of some 7,000 patients in the five countries.

The U.S. is the only industrialized country that does not offer government-sponsored health coverage for all citizens. Proponents of market-driven health care often point to long wait times for services in other countries when warning of the dangers of a government-run system.
Sixty percent of patients in New Zealand told researchers that they were able to get a same-day appointment with a doctor when sick, nearly double the 33 percent of Americans who got such speedy care. Only Canada scored lower, with 27 percent saying they could get same-day attention. Americans were also the most likely to have difficulty getting care on nights, weekends, or holidays without going to an emergency room.

Four in 10 U.S. adults told researchers that they had gone without needed care because of the cost, including skipping prescriptions, avoiding going to the doctor, or skipping a recommended test or treatment.
Meanwhile, 26 percent of Americans surveyed said that they had faced more than $1,000 in out-of-pocket health care costs in the last year, compared with 14 percent of Australians, and 4 percent of Britons.
“The U.S. stands out as the patients the most exposed to medical bills,” Schoen says.
