Take the 56 million and dole it out to the emotionally and economically depressed...instead of handing out the cash to employ useless professionals in the mental health industry...sounds like big pharma is having a great years - selling those mind dumbing drugs...same old systemic crap.

You should read the article, not just the headline.

I would guess most people committing suicide do have a drug problem -- and there isn't much difference between illegal drugs and legal drugs when it comes to altering thought processes.

You counting vets? Because 18 take their lives every day.
18 veterans commit suicide each day - Army News | News from Afghanistan & Iraq - Army Times
Troubling new data show there are an average of 950 suicide attempts each month by veterans who are receiving some type of treatment from the Veterans Affairs Department.

Seven percent of the attempts are successful, and 11 percent of those who don’t succeed on the first attempt try again within nine months.

I have no problem with people committing suicide.
It's their body and their life; it's their choice.

I just wish we'd give them an easier out.
Cleaning up shooting residue is horrible.
