Most black people have significantly lower incomes compared to white people. The democratic party is, undeniably, the party of the poor. It's been this way for generations. Democrats generally believe in bottom-up economic policies (call that socialism if you want to, but it sure helps the poor have a shot at the American dream), while Republicans generally believe in trickle down (hence deregulation, free markets, tax breaks for corporations and the wealthy, loopholes).

Blacks understand the policies of the Democratic party to be directly helpful to them. It's really that simple.
Trying to understand why this^^is so damn hard to understand. It's not quantum physics, but you'd think it was. Glad you explained it because I refuse to do it anymore.

I'm a black Democrat. Voted for Obama, and will do so again.

So tell me, what free stuff have I personally received that you haven't? You said "stuff." So name 4 or 5 things. I'm dying to know.

I'm still waiting for someone anyone to tell me where this "free stuff" line is. I've voted Democrat every year with the exception 1 one and STILL haven't received one thing free, unless you consider the buy 1 get one free at shoprite.

You, ahh, do know that the pipeline is expected to raise the price of gas in the midwest and thus would drive up the price of gas for blacks who live there do you not? I mean you know that right since you're an expert on pipelines and all.

Rejecting the pipeline was a good thing. It was pretty much a guaranteed outcome. It would have been like approving a dynamite factory without knowing exactly where you are going to put it. How is that a smart decision??? Don't try to inject race or economics into a decision that was wise and pretty much the only decision that could have been rationally made.

Didn't you get your 2 coupons for the digital converter everyone had to have ? I did and don't even subscribe to cable

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/te...gital-tv_N.htm
President Barack Obama earlier this month called for the transition date to be postponed after the Commerce Department hit a $1.34 billion funding limit for government coupons that consumers may use to help pay for digital TV converter boxes.

There is not a group in America that is more affected by this economy than black folk. My people!

They have had the highest unemployment rate for 3 y1/2 years! Gas is going to soar higher than when Bush was in office! We are talking 5 bucks!! But Obama goes and does this.......

He offers a fat lie as an excuse!!

Now be honest......IF WE HAD THE SAME CONDITIONS UNDER A WHITE REPUBLICAN PREZ (unemployment and fuel costs) , WOULD WE BE HEARING THE DEAFENING SILENCE WE DO NOW, FROM THE BLACK COMMUNITY???

He needs to be held accountable just like any other white President before him!! We are giving him the kid gloves treatment and we know why!

But that's not even fair to him! What we are saying, BY SAYING NOTHING, is that our expectations of him were low to begin with!!

This country is in a mess! and we had a chance to get OIL from a friendly nation RIGHT NEXT DOOR!!!

And now the issues in Iran really mean something! They are affecting us!!

How in the world can black folks approve of this man's job at almost 95 percent??? Has race and pride blinded us this much???

Please don't tell me that we would not have had TWO "million-man" marches on the White House by now, if McCain had won and we had these conditions!!
Seriously, who is dense enough to believe that all of the problems of Black Americans would simply go "poof" because a man of color was elected as POTUS? Having White men who were POTUS didn't cure "White" poverty.

Black people need to hold themselves accountable....

Go to school and get an education. Get good grades. Stop having babies out of wedlock. If you aren't being hired, start you own company. Patronize Black businesses. Stop objectifying young Black women in music lyrics and videos. Support and respect Black men. Stop putting other races on pedestals while denigrating your own. Stop spending money on stupid crap and start saving and investing. Stop excusing bad behavior.
