I just don't see how buying and selling carbon credits in the financial markets will solve global warming.

Countries set their goals and no biggie if they don't make them as they just BUY carbon credits and call it "good". Just look at Japan.

It won't solve Global Warming because Global Warming is not caused by man, its caused by the sun. Man or more specifically corrupt politicians can and do take actions to try and create global warming or at least just enough in an attempt to convince the people its real. That's called weather manipulation, cloud seeding and stuff like that. People are fools and follow the corrupt politicians like blithering idiots.

The atmosphere is, in the most LIBERAL estimations, only about 250 miles thick. I have a feeling that some of these anti-warming jokers have never taken a meteorology or physical science course and really have no clue about climate modeling... which is why they cling to politics with respect to this issue.

Global warming is just another excuse for government to have more power and have ways to take away your liberty. You won't be able to use the amount of energy that you want. You will be forced into buying a small car or an electric car, The government will monitor your travels in your vehicle, monitor your energy use in your home and tax the hell out of you. They will also tax the hell out of business so you will be unemployed. This is a liberals dream. If you think it is a good idea vote for Obama.

In the last hundred years the temperature has gone up less than 2 degrees. Estimates of the temperature of the inner Earth range from 7,000 degrees in the mantle to 10,000 - 13,000 at the very core. But you say Global Warming is heating up the Earth's core enough to cause volcanic eruptions.

We seem to be okay at 10,000 degrees. So according to your "settled science" when is that we are going to be overrun with molten lava? Is it 10,003 degrees? 10,004?

So, for the benefit of any serious Global Warming types reading -- it's comments like that which make us skeptics laugh at Global Warming hype.

Just had one during the night...a 4 on the Richter Scale. We haven't needed to use the fireplace once this winter. Canadian geese no longer stop here to feed when migrating north or south, they live here all year.
We can bet on the climate staying the same and put the planet at even greater risk, or we can choose to try to decrease emissions; it all depends on how much we want to gamble when it comes to our children or grandchildren.

No Santorum. I've read that droughts lead to civil and political unrest, but never socialism.

All those things were around before the global warming insanity. Care to explain how that happened?
