Pahlavi was installed by the British and Soviets in the 40's. The son Mohammed Reza replaced his father the "Shah" and was then supported by the U.S. & British through the 50's and early 60's w/ disregard of the will of the people. e.g. 'Operation Ajax'. Through excessive spending and funding of the Shah, the people of Iran goaded by insurrectionists and religious zealots angered after modernization and nationalist forced the "Shah" to flee the country to Egypt where he died.
The U.S. did not remove the Shah from power. Your assertions are completely incorrect.
